SOFTSWISS Joins ANJL as Tech Suppliers Enter Brazil’s Policy Circle

SOFTSWISS has joined Brazil’s National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL), becoming the first technology supplier in the body. At the same time, Carla Dualib has been appointed Communications Director on the ANJL board while continuing her role at the company. The move places a supplier inside an industry group that works directly with regulators on compliance and market standards in Brazil’s regulated betting sector.

ANJL brings together licensed operators and works with regulators to define how Brazil’s betting market operates in practice. With SOFTSWISS joining, a technology supplier now sits inside a group that takes part in these discussions. The company said it will add its compliance knowledge and market experience as the framework continues to develop.

Carla Dualib has taken the role of Communications Director on the ANJL board while keeping her position at SOFTSWISS. She will focus on how operators and regulators communicate and how the industry aligns on common standards. ANJL President Plínio Lemos Jorge said her background will help strengthen coordination across the sector.

Brazil’s betting market moved into regulation in 2025 and is now in a phase where structure and consistency matter more. Industry bodies like ANJL are working to keep different parts of the market aligned as rules are applied in practice.

SOFTSWISS works with more than 1,200 brands and provides casino, sportsbook, and aggregation tools across regulated markets. The company has been active in Brazil ahead of regulation and has followed market changes through its research and reports.

For operators, this move suggests suppliers may have more influence on how compliance and standards are set. For suppliers, it shows the value of being involved in industry bodies where these decisions are discussed. Affiliates may also see more controlled messaging as coordination between operators and associations becomes more organised.

TGJ Take

This is less about a membership update and more about who gets a seat at the table in Brazil. If a supplier is inside ANJL, it gains early visibility into how standards and compliance rules are shaped. Operators should start factoring this into partner selection, as platforms tied to these discussions may be better aligned with regulatory expectations. Suppliers that stay outside risk losing influence as the market structure becomes more defined.
