Greentube Enters Alberta as Regulated iGaming Market Opens

Greentube went live in Alberta on 20 July 2026 as the province’s iGaming market opened under a new regulated framework, and the supplier is among the first to operate there. The NOVOMATIC Digital Gaming and Entertainment division confirmed it holds registration with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) commission after it completed the required regulatory and technical approval process.

Alberta is only the second Canadian province to regulate iGaming after Ontario. The new framework replaces the monopoly previously held by Play Alberta.

The launch expands Greentube’s presence in Canada, where the company has operated in Ontario since 2022. Greentube said the Alberta rollout forms part of its broader North American growth strategy.

Players in Alberta will initially have access to a selection of Greentube titles, such as Piggy Prizes™ Wand of Riches 2™, Rumble Riches™ Haulin’ Gold™, Firecracker Frenzy™ Money Toad™, Silver Lux Big Win Spinner, Starlight Jackpots™ Captain’s Catch™ and Charming Lady’s Boom™. The supplier said the initial portfolio combines recent releases with its most successful games.

David Bolas, Commercial Director at Greentube, said the day-one launch reflects the company’s momentum in Canada. Bolas added that Greentube will work with locally licensed operators as it expands its presence in the province and across the region.

💡TGJ Take

Alberta’s regulated market gives suppliers another provincial route into Canada after several years in which Ontario stood alone. A day-one launch lets content providers secure distribution agreements before operator portfolios fill up. As more suppliers obtain AGLC approval, competition for visibility and shelf space on licensed operator sites will intensify, and early movers like Greentube hold a real placement advantage over latecomers.
