Betshield Appoints Elizabeth Leiva Goycochea to Drive LatAm Expansion
Betshield Responsible Gaming appointed Elizabeth Leiva Goycochea, CEO and founder of CGS Events, as its regional expansion partner for Latin America and the Caribbean on March 11, 2026. Leiva will support the company’s push into markets currently advancing their online betting regulation.
Betshield develops AI-based player monitoring technology for licensed operators. Its tools track player behaviour, identify risk patterns, and document evidence of responsible gaming interventions. Betshield also operates Pausebet, a centralised self-exclusion tool letting bettors block access to licensed operators.
The appointment follows two earlier moves. Betshield formalised a partnership with CGS Events, making responsible gaming a central theme across all CGS events in 2026. The company also added Amilton Noble as Advisory Partner.
Why Leiva
Leiva built her career connecting operators, regulators, and suppliers across the Caribbean and Latin America through CGS Events. Amilton Noble, Advisory Partner at Betshield, said her regulatory knowledge makes her well placed to expand the company’s reach.
Leiva said the region is at a turning point for betting regulation. “Betshield’s technology strengthens player protection and builds confidence in regulated markets,” she said.
TGJ Take
LatAm regulators want proof. Betshield’s tools document every player protection intervention in a format regulators can audit. Leiva has direct relationships with the people making licensing decisions across the region. That access is the real value of this appointment. When compliance deadlines land, operators without a documented responsible gaming solution will need one fast.
