Formula 1 Names Betway Its First Official Betting Partner
Formula 1 signed a multi-year partnership with Betway on March 6, 2026, making the operator the first official betting partner in the championship’s 76-year history. The deal takes effect at the start of the 2026 season and covers Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Canada, and Mexico.
ALT Sports Data joins as Formula 1’s official betting data provider. The company will supply real-time predictive analytics built on the championship’s historical and live data sets and develop proprietary odds products for the sport.
Live Betting Built on Race Data
The live betting product draws on millions of data points generated during each race. Tyre performance, lap times, pit stop strategy, safety car deployments, and weather conditions feed into the odds in real time.
Fans aged 18 and over in eligible markets place bets through Betway. The product targets race strategy decisions and on-track developments rather than outright results alone.
Jonny Haworth, Director of Commercial Partnerships at Formula 1, framed the deal as a response to how fans already follow the sport. “Sports betting is now a natural extension of how many modern fans deal with live events,” he said. “Our partnership with Betway allows our adult fans to get closer to the strategy and action.”
Neal Menashe, CEO of Super Group, confirmed the partnership gives Betway customers access to markets built around race weekends. He did not specify which markets or regions would launch first.
TGJ Take
The data is what makes this deal matter. Formula 1 generates millions of telemetry points per race, and ALT Sports Data will turn those into proprietary odds exclusively for Betway. No third-party provider has access to that feed. For operators in the covered regions, competing on standard race markets alone is no longer viable.
