Eeze Bets on Yggdrasil’s Studio in a Box to Skip Building Its Own Studio

Yggdrasil signed a multi year deal with Eeze, the first partnership built on its Studio in a Box programme. Eeze will build and launch a dedicated slot portfolio using Yggdrasil’s Game in a Box technology, skipping the years of infrastructure most suppliers need to produce content at this pace. The agreement was reported by iGB on June 18, 2026.

Eeze plans to launch its first two titles by the end of 2026. After that the companies target a release pace of two games per month across regulated markets.

Game in a Box is Yggdrasil’s proprietary development system. The company built it over two years using automation and AI assisted tools to speed up work on game maths, logic and source code.

Slot supply is crowded right now. Suppliers want more original content but hiring teams and managing certification slows them down. Studio in a Box is Yggdrasil’s answer to that bottleneck, and Eeze is its first live test.

James Curwen, Chief Executive Officer at Yggdrasil, said Eeze had the ambition to build at scale but needed the right framework. He said operators had been asking for more control over their content roadmap without the cost of running a full development studio.

Graeme Powrie, Chief Commercial Officer at Eeze, said the deal supports Eeze’s slots strategy and extends its market reach. He framed it as part of Eeze’s growth into a multi vertical supplier.

💡 TGJ Take

This deal only matters if Eeze ships on schedule. Two titles by the end of 2026 is a low bar; the real test is whether the promised two games a month actually holds once certification queues and market specific rules hit. Yggdrasil needed a live case study for Studio in a Box, and Eeze gets slot output without studio overhead, so both sides have reason to make this work fast. Watch the second wave of releases, not the first. If Eeze can’t sustain the cadence past Q1 2027, this becomes a cautionary case for other suppliers considering the same model rather than a proof point.
