EveryMatrix Adds Second Denmark Deal with Cashpoint Migration

EveryMatrix confirmed on 11 March that it will take over Cashpoint’s retail and online sports betting setup in Denmark. The agreement covers more than 1,000 terminals across 230+ shops and includes the launch of Cashpoint’s first Danish online casino in H2 2026. After migration, the Merkur Group-owned operator will rebrand to Merkur Bets.

The timing puts execution under pressure. The rollout is planned ahead of the next football season, which is typically a key period for betting activity. Cashpoint began searching for a new supplier in early 2025, aiming to replace its internal system with a setup that combines retail betting, online sportsbook, and casino in one system.

Taking both retail and online in a single contract raises the stakes for delivery. In Denmark, retail still plays a role in acquisition for some operators, so any delay affects both shop activity and online growth at the same time. That shifts focus away from deal size and toward rollout speed and system stability.

The agreement also strengthens EveryMatrix’s position in Denmark. In November 2025, Danske Licens Spil selected the supplier to power its casino and bingo products, with launch expected in summer 2026. With two rollouts running in parallel, the market now has a clear reference point for comparing supplier performance under live conditions.

For Merkur, the shift marks a move away from its internal system. That usually trades control for speed and shared development. In this case, the addition of online casino looks like the main driver, as it extends the product beyond retail and sportsbook into a segment that requires different infrastructure.

TGJ Take

This deal matters less for its size and more for what it tests. EveryMatrix now has two Denmark rollouts heading toward 2026 deadlines, which puts delivery under direct comparison. Operators running both retail and online should pay attention. If Merkur’s migration lands on time and holds during peak periods, single-system setups become easier to justify. If it slips, the case for keeping systems separate does not go away.
