DraftKings, FanDuel, Fanatics Deploy $41M PAC for State Expansion

DraftKings, FanDuel and Fanatics have collectively contributed $41 million to the “Win for America” super PAC, according to Federal Election Commission filings disclosed in April 2026. The funding is aimed at supporting candidates aligned with legal, regulated sports betting, with activity focused on state legislative races where market access remains unresolved.

The total is divided across the three contributors. FanDuel provided $19.5 million, DraftKings $17.5 million and Fanatics $4 million. The PAC has already begun deploying funds through affiliated groups and retains capital for further election spending.

The focus is on state races, not federal contests. Early spending has gone into primaries across several jurisdictions, including unregulated markets such as Texas and Georgia, as well as states where tax levels and rules are under pressure.

The structure points to a coordinated approach across party lines. Funds have been channelled through PACs that support both Democratic and Republican candidates, allowing alignment with policymakers regardless of which party holds power at the state level.

The move comes as the US betting market enters a more complex phase. While legalisation has expanded since 2018, the current landscape includes higher tax rates, tighter oversight and competition from adjacent products such as prediction markets. In response, political spend is becoming a more structured part of market strategy.

💡 TGJ Take

This marks a shift from reactive lobbying to planned market entry strategy. Companies are not waiting for legislative change; they are financing the conditions that make it possible. The cost of entering new states is rising, as access becomes tied to coordinated political spend. For suppliers and affiliates, expansion timelines will depend more on election cycles and regulatory alignment than on organic demand.
