Flutter Consolidates PokerStars Under FanDuel in US Push

Flutter Entertainment has merged its PokerStars operations into the FanDuel product in the United States and Ontario, moving poker into a single front-end tied to its sportsbook and casino offering. The rollout began in March 2026 across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ontario, with existing PokerStars users migrated into FanDuel accounts.

The change removes PokerStars as a standalone brand in the US market. Poker now sits inside FanDuel’s ecosystem, with one wallet covering sportsbook, casino, and poker activity. The combined setup allows shared liquidity across states, including Pennsylvania’s recent entry into multi-state pooling.

Flutter is concentrating traffic under FanDuel, its main US-facing brand. PokerStars continues to operate as the underlying poker network, but no longer acts as the primary consumer entry point. That shifts poker into a supporting role within a broader cross-sell model.

Liquidity remains the key driver. By combining player pools across multiple states, the network supports larger tournaments and more stable cash game activity. Tournament guarantees now reach $500,000, reflecting the scale of the combined pool.

The migration changes how users access poker. Players no longer need separate accounts, and poker sits alongside sportsbook and casino in the same interface. The integration follows Flutter’s wider approach in the US, where FanDuel acts as the central brand across verticals.

Timing matters. Pennsylvania’s addition to shared liquidity increases the available player pool at the same moment Flutter consolidates access. FanDuel gains scale without relying on separate poker acquisition.

TGJ Take

Flutter is pushing all traffic through FanDuel to raise value per user. Poker becomes a retention tool linked to sportsbook and casino rather than a standalone acquisition channel. Operators with separate verticals should expect higher pressure on margins if they cannot connect products in the same way. Affiliates focused on poker face a shift as traffic moves behind a broader funnel where tracking and conversion are less direct.
