Brightstar Places 3 Executives in European Lotteries Roles
Brightstar Lottery has secured 3 Vice-Chair positions within European Lotteries’ (EL) newly created Communities of Experts. The appointments follow EL’s September 2025 Congress in Bern, where the association elected its Executive Committee and later approved a new expert structure for its 2-year programme.
Stefania Colombo will serve as Vice-Chair of the Sustainability & Responsible Gaming Community. Laura Feliziani will serve as Vice-Chair of the Marketing and Communication Community. Nicodemo Baffa will serve as Vice-Chair of the Security, Risk & IT Community.
Each Community of Experts has 1 Chair and 2 Vice-Chairs drawn from EL member organisations. Under EL’s statute, the Executive Committee may establish working groups and define their composition and function.
Brightstar’s institutional presence also extends beyond EL. Alessandro Paciucci, CEO of Lottoitalia and Lotterie Nazionali, holds elected seats on the Executive Committees of both EL and the World Lottery Association (WLA).
Brightstar operates in Italy as concessionaire for Gioco del Lotto and Gratta e Vinci.
💡 TGJ Take
3 Vice-Chair roles across responsible gaming, marketing, and IT security give Brightstar a direct role in EL’s work on player protection, communications, and operational security. For European lottery operators, these Communities matter because their recommendations may affect internal policies and supplier requirements. Brightstar’s presence at both EL and WLA committee level also gives the Italian concessionaire access to 2 important association agendas. Lottery suppliers should track these groups closely, especially if their products relate to compliance, responsible gaming, or IT risk.
