GGPoker Controls WSOPC Montevideo Funnel With $5 Satellites

GGPoker confirmed it is hosting the full qualification path for the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) Montevideo series at Casino Carrasco in Uruguay. The event will feature 12 gold ring tournaments, including the $1,700 Main Event, with all online entry routes operating through GGPoker satellites.

The satellite schedule opened on March 30, with buy-ins starting at $5 and scaling through a step system to full Main Event seats. The operator states the qualifiers will run until May 10 and include freerolls alongside paid entries. The structure directs players from low-cost entry points into higher-value tournaments without alternative qualification channels.

Reports indicate GGPoker remains the exclusive online partner for the Montevideo stop. Satellite winners can secure full event packages, with some routes linking to additional WSOP-related travel packages, extending the total value beyond tournament entry.

The Montevideo stop forms part of WSOP Circuit’s continued expansion in Latin America. In this case, the qualification model is consolidated under a single operator, giving GGPoker direct control over player acquisition and progression into the live series.

For WSOP, the setup simplifies distribution and supports consistent player supply. For GGPoker, it connects low-cost online acquisition to a branded live event, turning satellite traffic into higher-value participation.

TGJ Take

GGPoker now owns the full path from entry-level satellites to live event seats in this market. That gives it control over acquisition cost, player data, and conversion into live tournament revenue. For affiliates, this reduces optionality. WSOPC-related traffic in LATAM is likely to concentrate around one operator. If this structure expands to other stops, open satellite networks will become harder to access.
