The World Lottery Association (WLA) is the principal trade body for the state-authorised lottery sector. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Lausanne, it represents lottery operators and licensed sports betting organisations across more than 80 countries. The WLA sets industry standards for security and responsible gaming. Its main event is the World Lottery Summit, a biennial gathering widely regarded as the defining conference for the regulated lottery industry.
